IBA hosted its 18th Annual Banking Technology Conference, Expo and Awards- 2022 event at Mumbai. B.G. Mahesh, represented Sahamati and our extended AA community as a panellist for the conference on “Building next-gen open banking leveraging India stack – ONDC, OCEN Reflections from innovators & early adopters”
The panel also included Deepak Sharma (Kotak Bank), Akhil Handa (BOB), Sandeep Ubale, (SBI), Himanshu Rajpal (Salesforce), Hrushikesh Mehta (Credall) and was moderated Alok Kshirsagar (McKinsey & Company).
The panel discussed on how the launch of Account Aggregators, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and the Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN) could prove to be a gamechanger for banks to collaborate and create a unique business model suited to the customer. The panellists discussed about the improving state of financial inclusion in India in the near short term.
Mahesh stressed on the relevance of successful integration of Account Aggregators, along with other Digital India initiatives for benefit of the citizen who is looking for lower TAT and better services from the financial sector.
