Sahamati Labs is a cutting-edge research and innovation hub dedicated to advancing the Open Finance ecosystem in India and globally.

As the innovation arm of Sahamati, we focus on developing frameworks, driving interoperability, and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, Onchain Finance, including CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies), stablecoins, and blockchain-based cross-border consumer-consented data transfers to create a seamless and inclusive financial landscape.

We work on Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs) such as Homomorphic Encryption, Confidential Computing (TEEs), and Secure Multi-Party Computation (SMPC) to enhance secure, privacy-preserving, and AI- driven financial data-sharing frameworks.

Through Sahamati Labs, we bring together researchers, financial institutions, technology leaders, and policymakers to collaborate, experiment, and drive real-world impact in Open Finance.

Projects

Aikya: Loan Fraud Detection Platform- Aikya helps lenders detect loan stacking by users and potential loan fraud. 

AI Agentic Framework- Ensuring trust while enabling AI Agents to use AA data responsibly. 

Cross-border data sharing- Enabling data sharing, especially for NRIs to be able to share data with Indian financial institutions for use cases like home loans and PFM apps to get a holistic view of their global finances and manage them. 

Commercial and Operational data- Enabling new sources of data which include commercial data and operational data from sources like accounting software, e-commerce, etc. to help lenders process underwriting faster and more efficiently, especially for MSMEs.
