Inauguration of Sahamati Bengaluru Office

On 20th March 2024, Nandan Nilekani inaugurated the Sahamati Bengaluru office in the presence of the Account Aggregator (AA) ecosystem and our well-wishers. It was encouraging for the ecosystem to get support and advice from Nilekani, whose vision has been instrumental in shaping India’s digital public infrastructure (DPI) landscape.

The inauguration was attended by Dr. Pramod Varma from the Advisory Council (AC) of the ecosystem as well as members of the Governing Council (GC), Account Aggregator (AA) representatives, and other industry members. The inauguration marked a significant milestone in Sahamati’s journey towards fostering data empowerment through the AA ecosystem.

In a symbolic gesture of growth, Nandan Nilekani planted a sapling on the office premises. The plant signifies our commitment to giving back individuals and businesses agency and autonomy over their financial lives. As this plant flourishes and grows, our endeavors toward data empowerment will strengthen through an ecosystem thriving with innovation and progress.

The warm wishes and support from our guests and the ecosystem have further strengthened our determination to institutionalize consent-based data-sharing through consent managers (CMs). With this step, we reemphasize the importance of data empowerment as not merely a technological endeavor but a catalyst for social and economic transformation. We strongly believe that by empowering individuals with control over their data, we are laying the foundation for a more inclusive and equitable society.
