Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman exhorts all banks to sign up to the AA framework
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman chaired a post-budget meeting with heads of Banks, Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFCs) and Financial Institutions in Mumbai on February 22, 2022 in which she has exhorted all banks to adopt AA which would facilitate seamless flow of credit for small borrowers and promote digital lending .

Niti Aayog Fintech Open Month: panel 16pxon Account Aggregator
Niti Aayog partners with Phonpe for the Fintech open hackathon, As part of the month long event, Sahamati moderated a panel discussion on Account Aggregator. The topic was ‘Driving user adoption in the AA ecosystem’ and the panelists included Puneet Singh (ICICI Bank), Harshvardhan Lunia (Lendingkart), Sumit Gwalani (Epifi Wealth), KP (Onemoney AA) and Munish Bhatia (Finvu AA).

Pragati: Open house for all AA ecosystem participants
Sahamati held the first open house for calendar year 2022 on 18th February. with Dr. Sumita Kale, Economist at Indicus Foundation opening the ‘Thought of the Month’ session with her insights on the ecosystem and its future, as an extension to her article.
Other sessions included ecosystem updates from Sahamati and product/service presentations by Technology Service Providers.

Reserve Bank Innovation Hub conducts the roundtable ‘Account Aggregator for the Next Half Billion’
RBIH, in collaboration with Sahamati, conducted a roundtable on 16th February 2022 with an aim to start an exploratory discussion on Assisted Account Aggregator model. Nearly 40 attendees were present for the event from Scheduled Commercial Banks, Small Finance Banks, NBFCs, Account Aggregators, Microfinance Institutions, Industry Experts, Loan Service Providers and Business Correspondents
